2026-07-26: Seasons, statistics, facilities, and a real count

Status: Active

The biggest update the game has had. Diamond Dynasty stopped being a series of disconnected matches and became a franchise.

Seasons and leagues. A season is now fourteen matchdays against seven rival clubs, home and away, with standings and a four team playoff. Win the championship and you are promoted; finish in the bottom two and you go down. There are five leagues to climb, from Amateur to Legend. Crucially, rival clubs are built around the strength of the league rather than scaled to your own team rating, so a better roster finally makes your games easier. Getting promoted is what makes them hard again.

Statistics. Every plate appearance and every pitch is recorded. Matches produce a real box score with AVG, ERA, WHIP and the winning, losing, and saving pitchers, and those lines roll up into season and career records for every player on your roster. My Team gained a Stats tab with club leaderboards.

Pitching is pitch by pitch. Calling a pitch used to resolve an entire at bat in one roll. Now every call is a single pitch against a live count, and the hitter responds to it: he takes first pitches, expands the zone with two strikes, and refuses to swing on 3-0. Command is a pitching skill, so a corner is only a strike about half the time and worse when your arm is tired, and repeating the same pitch lets a hitter sit on it.

Contact is where the bat is. Batting used to be judged purely on timing, which meant a well timed swing at a pitch well off the plate connected while the bat was visibly somewhere else. The swing is now sampled against the ball's flight and graded on how close the barrel actually came, so what the game decides matches what you watched.

Baserunning and fielding. Runners can be sent with a tap when the next bag is open. When a hit drops in against you, one of your fielders gets a timed chance to take it away, and missing costs nothing.

Facilities. Five permanent upgrade tracks bought with coins: cheaper training, advance scouting on the opposing pitcher, fresher arms, bigger payouts, and better pack odds.

Challenge Tower and Daily Challenges. One hundred floors, each a jam already in progress and generated from its own number so it is the same puzzle everywhere. Plus three daily objectives that redraw at midnight and are ticked off by ordinary match results.

Match length. League matches are three innings by default, with six and nine inning options in Settings.

Existing saves carry over: rosters, training levels, coins, and records are all preserved, and the franchise picks up in the Amateur League.

2026-07-20: Timing-based batting, live pitches, and music tracks

Status: Active

The match became an action game. Batting is now a timing challenge: the pitch flies in and you swing as a gold ring lands on the ball, so your reflexes matter as much as your roster, and chasing pitches outside the zone gets punished. The pitching half animates too, with your called pitch flying to its location and the batter reacting. The How to Play tutorial gained a live batting practice cage, and Settings gained a choice of three music beds (Ballpark Organ, Night Game, and Walk-Up Jam) plus a rally horn and crowd groan on the big moments.

2026-07-20: In-game tutorial and one-tap mute

Status: Active

The game now teaches itself. An interactive How to Play primer opens before your first match, with hands-on batting and pitching demos where you make the call and the game explains why it worked (or did not). It stays available from the main menu and the pregame screen. A master mute button also landed on every screen, including mid-match; one tap silences everything and the choice persists.

2026-07-20: Went live

Status: Active

Diamond Dynasty went live at diamonddynasty.kluthstudios.com. The game is now playable in the browser, mobile-first and installable as an app, and the Play and live-site links across kurtkluth.dev resolve to the real thing.

2026-07-20: Joined the collection

Status: Active

Diamond Dynasty joined the Kluth Studios collection on kurtkluth.dev as its eighth project: an original baseball franchise simulator with stat-driven three-inning matches, procedurally generated player cards across six rarities, Scout Packs with published odds, coin-based training, pitcher fatigue with a one-call bullpen, and full PWA install with offline play.
