Skyroute is experimental, so this page is the paper trail: what changed, and when. Newest entries first.
2026-07-18: Skyroute joins the collection
Status: Experimental.
Skyroute joined the Kluth Studios collection on kurtkluth.dev. The live game at skyroute.kluthstudios.com and this documentation set went up together.
Snapshot of the game as documented today:
- Two aircraft. The SL-9 Skylark piston trainer (forgiving, cruise 110 kt) and the SwiftJet 100 regional twin-jet (fast and slippery, cruise 250 kt, reverse thrust on the runway).
- Four regions, each an airport pair flyable in either direction: Verdant Coast (MER ⇄ SKY), Amber Mesa (DST ⇄ MVM), Granite Range (ALP ⇄ SUM), and Azure Atoll (CKY ⇄ LGI).
- Eight weather settings. Clear, Scattered, Cloudy, Overcast, Foggy, Rain, Stormy, and Crosswind, plus Day, Sunset, and Night time of day.
- Four realism levels. Arcade, Assisted, Realistic, and Custom, plus a High detail / Fast graphics switch.
- An autopilot suite. Altitude hold and route following via
P, cycling SPD / HDG / ALT / V/S targets withTab, a heading bug, NAV re-arm, and an ILS-style APR approach mode. - A logbook of completed flights, saved in your browser.
- Landing scoring that rewards touching down on the numbers with a descent rate under about 300 fpm.

note
Experimental means the game keeps moving. When handling, scoring, or features change in a way a pilot would notice, it lands here first.
