Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This site is built to need as little of your information as possible. The short version: there are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and the games save their data on your own device rather than sending it anywhere. The rest of this page explains the details.
Who runs this site
kurtkluth.dev is run by me, Kurt Kluth. If you have any question about privacy, email [email protected].
What I collect
Information you give me. The only way you actively send me anything is by emailing me. If you do, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. I use it to reply and to follow up on the conversation, and nothing else.
Information collected automatically by the hosting. The site is served as static files through GitHub Pages, fronted by Cloudflare. Like essentially all web hosting, those providers process basic technical data needed to deliver pages and to protect the site, such as your IP address and browser user-agent, in their own server logs. That processing is theirs, under their policies; I do not add my own analytics or logging on top of it, and I do not build profiles of visitors.
Information stored on your device. The games keep your scores, settings, and progress in your browser's local storage, and the site remembers small preferences such as your light or dark theme choice the same way. This data lives in your browser, on your device. It is not transmitted to me, and I cannot see it. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.
The site's search is handled entirely in your browser with a search index that ships with the site; your searches are not sent anywhere.
How I use information
I use the little I receive only to:
- reply to and manage correspondence you start;
- keep the site running, secure, and working as intended;
- comply with the law where I am required to.
I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for advertising. There is nothing to sell, because I do not collect it for that purpose.
Who else is involved
The only third parties in the picture are the infrastructure providers that make the site work: GitHub (hosting) and Cloudflare (content delivery and security), plus my email provider if you write to me. They act as service providers and handle data under their own privacy policies. I would also disclose information if the law genuinely required it.
Cookies and tracking
I do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no third-party analytics on the site. The only client-side storage is the local storage described above, used for game saves and your theme preference. It is functional, stays on your device, and is not used to follow you around the web.
Data retention
Email correspondence I keep for as long as it is useful for the conversation and any follow-up, then I delete it. The technical logs kept by the hosting providers are retained and rotated under their own schedules, not mine.
Your choices and rights
Because I hold so little, your controls are simple:
- Your device data is yours to clear whenever you like, through your browser.
- Your email correspondence you can ask me to show you or delete; email [email protected] and I will help.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or California's privacy laws may give you additional rights over personal data. I am happy to honor reasonable requests under them; just get in touch.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Where processing happens
The site is hosted in the United States and served globally through a content delivery network. If you visit from elsewhere, the technical data involved in delivering the site may be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If I change how any of this works, I will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
