Welcome to kurtkluth.dev. This is my personal portfolio and documentation site, and it hosts a handful of free browser games under the Kluth Studios banner. By using the site you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What this site is​

kurtkluth.dev is an informational site. It offers project descriptions, technical documentation (including material about SQL Server CLR integration), and browser-based games and experiments that you can play for free. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing to buy. You can read, browse, and play without giving me any personal information.

Acceptable use​

You are welcome to read the content and play the games for your own personal and professional purposes. In return, please do not:

  • use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that violates someone else's rights;
  • attempt to break, overload, probe, or interfere with the site or the services that host it;
  • upload or transmit malware, or use the site to distribute it;
  • scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that burdens its hosting, or misrepresent yourself as me or as affiliated with me.

Intellectual property​

The writing, design, and original artwork on this site are mine unless noted otherwise, and "Kluth Studios" is the banner I publish games under. You may link to the site and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution. Please do not republish substantial portions as your own.

Some projects documented here are open source and are governed by their own licenses; where that is the case, those licenses control and nothing here overrides them. Third-party names and trademarks that appear in the documentation belong to their respective owners and are used only for description.

The games and your saved data​

The games save your scores, settings, and progress in your browser's local storage, on your device. That data stays on your device; it is not sent to me and there is no account or cloud backup. Clearing your browser data, or switching browsers or devices, will lose it. The games are provided for fun, as they are, with no guarantee of availability or of any particular result.

Availability​

This is a static site served through GitHub Pages and Cloudflare. I aim to keep it up and working, but I cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access, and I may change, pause, or retire any part of the site (including individual projects) at any time.

The site links out to other places, including the live game sites on the kluthstudios.com subdomains, sqlclr.com, and GitHub. I do not control those destinations and am not responsible for their content or their practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability​

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site, its documentation, or its games. See the Disclaimer for more detail, especially regarding the technical content.

Changes to these terms​

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law​

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
